What a busy end to our first half term together. I am so proud of how you all worked so hard to complete your assessments and prepare for the Harvest assembly. You have truly showed how well you all flourish and shine together. We finished our class novel, The Boy at the Back of the Class, by having a Zoom meeting with Saredo, whose parents escaped from Somalia and were refugees. We all asked very well thought out questions and learned how it must have felt to be a refugee. We will continue to discuss this subject and contact Saredo again, later this year.
We had a lovely time during our Shine Time today, playing games outside and doing some graffiti art, with chalk, on the playground. Everyone thought it was an improvement and loved how colourful it all was. Have a lovely half term break and stay safe and well.
