The whole school celebrated Black History Month on Friday morning with a focus on the black American artist, William H Johnson.  We learned about Johnson's life and looked at several of his paintings, including some that showed dancers jitter bugging.  We saw that Johnson's pictures had simple lines but were full of colour; whilst some of the pictures showed stillness, the pictures of the dancers were full of  movement and music.  Each class were inspired by one of Johnson's pictures - everyone worked really hard to produce fantastic artwork.
