On Tuesday, PC Holmes came into school and spoke to Fardings about keeping ourselves safe online and the etiquette of communicating via social media.  He explained to the children that - just like in real life situations - we should be respectful and treat others as we would want to be   treated.  PC Holmes also explained the seriousness of sending unkind messages and the possible consequences to the children and their parents.  Some of us were surprised that - even in apps like SnapChat - there would be a permanent record of our messages and that the police can access them if necessary.  PC Holmes also reminded the children that if they ever feel uncomfortable about something they see or read online, they should tell an adult.
