On Friday, 3rd February, five Year 6 children were invited to a Gifted and Talented Maths and Technology day, at Maltings School. The day consisted of many activities and learning opportunities, including a morning activity, investigating ‘Pentanimoes’ (a flat shape, made by joining 5 squares together) and their properties.
In the afternoon, the children were admitted into the Technology department where they designed and made a robot pencil holder from a range of materials. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and have come back to Terling with a renewed excitement for shape related investigations.
