At Leylands Poetry Slam we started with reading out the poems in our English books. The poems focused on sound and repetitiveness . Everyone chose an animal and their first verse was about behaviour, second verse was about environment and third verse was about looks. After we shared Walking with my Iguana poem by Brian Moses and parents and cares joined in.

At the Poetry Slam everyone shared their poems like mine ‘Elly the Elephant’. Everyone shared their English books and personal writing journals with parents and carers. We had so much fun, we really enjoyed it!
