RAF100 Flypast

On Tuesday the whole school went on to the field to watch The RAF100 flypast. There were up to 100 historic and modern day aircraft. The aircraft took off from 17 different airfields across the UK and had to converge over central London at exactly the right time. Each aircraft type flew at slightly different altitudes and some of them at different speeds so it was a great mathematics challenge for the pilots!

The children were given tick sheets so they could identify the different types of aircraft and it was a truly memorable experience for children and staff.
