Sandypits’ have had another busy week. We have focused on our challenges learning the capital cities of England and Scotland. The children created a recipe for a fruit salad which we will be making in the next couple of weeks and compared their childhoods to their Grandparents discussing what had changed and stayed the same. In maths, we have continued practising place value with both year groups comparing numbers using greater than, less than and equal to symbols. In English, we have continued to focus on sentence writing with Year 2’s using adjectives to up level and Year 1’s using colourful semantics.
