We celebrated Black History Month today with a specially themed black history shine time. Children got to choose from a range of activities that celebrated the contribution of black women. The activities on offer ranged from coding (Valerie Taylor, computer scientist), to painting (Alma Woodsey Thomas, painter and teacher) to times table rockstars (Katherine Johnson, mathematician). We all had a great afternoon and hopefully learned something about black history too!
