On Thursday the children celebrated World Book day by coming to school dressed as their favourite book character.
The day started with an assembly where the children listened to the story of ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’. Arriving back to class they discovered that their chairs had also quit and had left a letter for the children. The classes were asked to write a persuasive letter asking the chairs to return to class.
The afternoon saw the children divided into groups and visiting different members of staff around the school to listen to a story. After 5 minutes the bell would ring and children would visit the next story.
Thank you to all parents and carers for the wonderful costumes, they were truly amazing. Photos have been sent to the Essex Chronicle for publishing.
