Year 1/2 were lucky to be visited by Andrea who works for Essex Fire and Rescue. Andrea talked to us about all of the different jobs that firefighters do, and the different ways they keep the community safe. We were invited to try on a real firefighters helmet, and Mrs V even tried on their uniform!
A Fire service lady came in and she talked to us about how to keep safe if there was a fire in your house and to make sure you have an escape plan. She talked to us about house fires. Don’t put too many plugs in on one plug socket. The lady taught us to say this;
GET OUT!!
STAY OUT!!
