Year 5/6 - Investigating Roman Numerals

Our in depth study of place value is winding down so Years 5 and 6 spent a couple of days this week investigating Roman Numerals. Their favourite activity involved the dictation of numbers (into the thousands!), for the pupils to present as Roman Numerals using only lolly sticks. Give it a try at home with some utensils or writing tools! Or can you think of something more unique and fun?
