On Thursday Year 6 had a talk on cyber safety from a lady from Essex Police. She covered topics such as staying safe on social media (including warning signs), cyber bullying and identity theft. The children all contributed to the discussion and were frank in their responses. This is a message which the children have heard before and which they will hear again at secondary school. They were all made aware of what to do if they are concerned about any activity online: clicking the CEOP button as well as talk to a teacher or parent. They were reminded that the internet is a fantastic place to explore and enjoy BUT to think carefully while using it.
